Selling on Poshmark is so entrepreneurial, ya know? You have your hand in all these different pots - some of them you don’t even like! But you do it all anyways because you’re a Posh Boss Babe.
So here’s a #poshtip I just recently started cultivating: find a way to make every part of Posh your fav part. You all know there are parts of selling on Poshmark that are your fav, and aspects you’re always dreeaading. Here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to be like that! You can make every part of Posh your fav! Here’s what to do to be obsessed with each aspect to Posh selling.
Sourcing
Source what you love. Source what you would personally rock. Source what you wish was in your size. That is how you make sourcing your fav.
Photographing
You need a cute photography station + a clear system. Buy the plant, buy the macrame, buy the custom hunger, buy all the things to get yourself excited to shoot! If your lighting situation stresses you out, buy the studio lighting. Then, get a system of photographing the same things on each item. Here’s mine:
1. Full front
2. Full back
3. Size + brand tag
4. Care tag (material composition + washing instructions)
5. Front detail
6. Back detail
Listing
You need a quick and easy way to list. Make yourself a listing template. Copy and paste your template on every new listing description so you know exactly what info to include. Including my template on the bottom of the post for you to use / get inspo from.
Measuring
If you hate measuring every single thing you list, don’t! Unless something doesn’t have a size marked on it, I’ll just say “Measurements available upon request”. 95% of my customers have bought without asking for measurements, and 95% of the shoppers who ask for measurements do not actually buy. Like, what.
Inventory
Have you ever lost inventory? I have, and yikes. If you panic every time you have to find an old listing, it’s time to upgrade your inventory system. I organized my inventory by category (e.g. jeans in the bottom cubbies, tops on the left, dresses on the right). This is a step up for me, but you can use numbers or letters if you’re more advanced.
Packaging
Put all your packaging supplies in one area so you can quickly and easily get all your posh sales cute + ready. I highly recommend sending a thank you card with each sale. If you don’t want to write one out every time, batch out as many as you can at one time, or get a bunch printed out. You can download my hand-designed thank you card HERE to print out.
Community Shares
It’s great to set priorities with community shares so you’re not aimlessly sharing every random thing on your feed. Here are mine:
1. sharing back closets who’ve recently shared mine (for the algorithm)
2. sharing my past customers (as a thank you)
3. sharing my PFF’s (for the love).
